7th OCTOBER - 4th NOVEMBER 2024 - The East Side Forest will be closed to the public due to a forestry harvest operation.  Please check map for areas still accessible during this time.  

MONDAY 14th OCTOBER 7am - 9.30am - The East side pasture trails from the Woolshed to the Regional park will be closed for top dressing operation.

Summerhill Charitable Trust warmly invites your school or kindergarten to visit  Summerhill. Nestled in the heart of the Pāpāmoa Hills, Summerhill offers a unique opportunity to explore a working livestock and forestry farm as well as an alternative gateway to the Pāpāmoa Hills Cultural Heritage Regional Park.

Things to do

  • Hikoi to the Pāpāmoa Hills Cultural Heritage Regional Park and learn about the rich cultural history of the area with matua Les Millard.

  • Facilitate free play and learning at the Forest Shelter.

  • Explore the farm and forest trails.

Lambing and Calving season:

Summerhill is a working sheep, cattle, and forestry farm. During lambing and calving seasons (August to September), we invite you to visit and explore the farm, enjoying all that spring has to offer! During this time, we kindly ask that visitors exercise extra caution around the animals for both your safety and theirs.
