Annual Events at Summerhill
Papamoa Hills Night Walk
Organised as a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga Trust, this event typically takes place around late May, June or early July, coinciding with the full moon.
Mountain Biking
Mountainbike Tauranga organises and hosts a range of events, including the summer race series (Monday nights), Enduro races, night races, and general rides.
Orienteering
Orienteering Bay of Plenty hosts a variety of events, including summer and winter orienteering series races, as well as school competitions.
Summerhill Skedaddle
The event is an annual fun-run organised by Lesley Park from the Papamoa Running Buddies club. It's a 6-hour challenge on a 5km loop through Summerhill's trails, where participants can complete as many or as few laps as they'd like. Various entry options are available, and the event typically takes place in May.
